1911 census at 108 Salisbury Road, Plymouth
1921 Feb 28. Shot in Cork. He appears to have been shot in Infirmary Road, near the old Blind Asylum, now a hospital. A soldier at the inquest said he heard 5 shots in Infirmary Road. When the firing ceased he and a friend found Beattie's body in the middle of the pavement, with a bullet wound in the region of the heart.
