Petty Officer William Henry Russell

1912 Nov 11. Enlists in Royal Navy for 12 years.

1921 Aug 12. Committed suicide on HM Trawler "Dee" anchored in Queenstown. He took a rifle from the wireless room and killed himself with a single shot through the roof of his mouth. He wrote this note a few hours before shooting himself. There was a full inquiry and no doubt that it was suicide. Aged 26

He appears to have been worried about his mother in South Africa.

The death is registered in Irish GRO as being Cork
