1902 Jul 4. .He served for 21years retiring on pension
.He re-enlisted into the Gordon Highlanders as a Special Reservists(for Home Service only),on 9th November 1914,and sucessively transferred to the Labour Corps then to Royal Defence Corps,returning to the Gordons before his death.
1919 Sep 24. Died at died of pneumonia at Central Military Hospital Dublin. Husband of Elizabeth Faulkner, of 6, Charles St., Aberdeen.
