Carrigaholt Drowning

They died in a boating accident at Carrigaholt on the estuary of the River Shannon, on Wednesday 14th July 1920.

McIlroy, Mc Clintock and Brown are buried in Kilrush/ Shanakyle Cemetary . Another soldier drowned in the same boating accident Private J. Stokes' body was washed up on the North Kerry coast and is buried in Tralee Military cemetary.
