1913 May 16. Enlisted aged 18 in London. Motor Driver.

1914 Aug 13 to 28 June 1920 served in France with 1st Cavalry Divisional Supply Column. With either 57 or 58 MT Company. Appointed Lance Corporal at some point.

The Divisional Supply Column Companies were responsible for the supply of goods, equipment and ammunition from the Divisional railhead to the Divisional Refilling Point and, if conditions allowed, to the dumps and stores of the forward units.

1915 Jun 19. Edmonton, London, married Annie Elizabeth BELTON

1920 Jun 28. posted Home and promoted Sergeant

1920 Oct 23. died of wounds from Ballinhassig Ambush. Age 26 Son of Mr. C. Bennett, of Dairy Cottage, Shorne, Gravesend.
