Col Heffernan, exhumed 1924 at Clonmel

The most likely man is James Gerald Patrick Heffernan MC. And this page is to establish who he was and whether it was him. I cannot get his Officer file as it has a P number. My conclusion is that although the man research here appears to have disappeared, it was after July 1927. He was escaping his debts and must have lived under a different name. I cannot find a death for this man.

There is also a missing Sgt Heffernan of RMF who seems to have survived
